Oladushki or Oladji – Pancakes with Kefir

Ingredients for the Pancakes:
      •     500 ml kefir
      •     2 eggs
      •     2 tbsp sugar
      •     1 tsp salt
      •     1 tsp baking soda
      •     300-350g flour
      •     Vegetable oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, mix kefir and eggs.
  2. Add sugar, salt, and baking soda, and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour and stir the batter thoroughly until smooth and lump-free. The batter should be thick.
  4. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium heat.
  5. Use a large spoon to scoop the batter into the pan, forming small pancakes. You can fit several pancakes in the pan at once.
  6. Fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot. They pair well with sour cream, jam, or honey. Enjoy your meal!☺️
