In our new “Club Alumni” series, you can get to know former Club visitors. What memories do they still have of the club? What does their life look like today? Last Friday we introduced you to Ilsi, today we continue with her boyfriend Marcel.
Hello Marcel! It’s nice that you also participate in the project. You are from Germany and were actually not an au pair in Munich. How did you find out about ClubIn?
I was told about it by a friend, who I don’t know anymore. (the assumption of the editor is – that was certainly Ilsi, the girlfriend of Marcel and our former volunteer).
Tell us about your fondest memory of that time.
Every single victory in kicking.
Then it sounds like a lot of fun. Are you currently a professional soccer player as well, or you’re currently doing something else?
I am no longer an au pair and I am currently living in Beijing on business.
Wow! I can imagine it’s a great experience. Is there anything else you would say to the current ClubIn visitors?
I would tell them, “Enjoy the cool time at ClubIn before you get too old” and stand up comedy is harder than you think.
Very nice! Did the club also shape you for the rest of your life?
I’ve given up my comedy career. I’ve also been able to build an international circle of friends and hope to visit everyone’s home country in the future.
